Student Organizations

  •  Carnegie Mellon Economics Society. The Carnegie Mellon Economics Society provides a forum for and fosters discussions and activities that focus on economic theory, economic research, current events, and inter-disciplinary topics.
  • Economics Student Advisory Committee (E-SAC). The Undergraduate Economics Program's SAC is a student advisory committee whose mission is to address the issues of the undergraduate community. The Peer Mentoring Network is organized by the E-SAC.
  • Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE).   ODE, the International Honor Society in Economics, is "dedicated to the encouragement of excellence in economics."

Economics students have many opportunities to become involved in students-run and/or faculty-sponsored organizations on campus. The range of organizations spans academic societies to cultural/national groups to special interests groups to community service groups and more. Most of the activities sponsored by the Undergraduate Economics Program are run by our three student organizations:
